HOW TO PLAY MINETARA
A quick path from your first login to gathering, combat, quests, and trading — written for players, not developers.
START HERE: YOUR FIRST HOUR
Connect your wallet (you need at least 5,000 $MINE to play), pick a display name, and choose a Server. You spawn in Ironvale — the tutorial NPC shows where to pick up your axe, pickaxe, and rod.
Basic Controls
- Click ground to move. WASD also works.
- Press G near a tree/rock to gather.
- Press F or click water to fish.
- Click a monster to attack it.
- Press E near NPC/building to interact.
- Keys 1-6 select hotbar items.
GATHERING
Resources are the foundation of everything in Minetara. You need them to craft potions, upgrade tools, and trade for gold.
Tools Required
- Hatchet — Chop trees for Timber (5 hits per tree)
- Miner Pick — Mine rocks for Cobble (7 hits) and Ember Ore (10 hits)
- Angler Rod — Fish at ponds/rivers for Fresh Catch
Where to Gather
- Ironvale — 120 trees, fast respawn. Perfect for beginners.
- Bramblewood — 120 pine trees + 16 rocks. Best farming zone.
- Shadowmere — 22 rocks + 8 coal. High risk, high reward.
COMBAT
Click any monster to auto-chase and attack. Your character will swing their weapon automatically when in range.
Monster Types
- Slime (Lv 1-3) — Weak, found in forests. Good for beginners.
- Wolf (Lv 2-14) — Fast, moderate damage. Found everywhere.
- Zombie (Lv 2-20) — Slow but tanky. Drops materials.
- Skeleton (Lv 3-17) — Ranged attacks. Drops metal and swords.
- Ghost (Lv 5-20) — Floats, harder to hit. Drops potions.
- Demon (Lv 8-25) — Very strong. Drops gold and keys.
- Spider Boss (Lv 30) — Endgame boss in Shadowmere.
ECONOMY & TRADING
Everything in Minetara runs on materials. Gold is earned by selling resources to Trader Milo.

- Supreme Remedy (80% heal) — Raw Meat x5 + Iron Shard x2

- Hatchet → Steel Hatchet: Timber x5 + Iron Shard x3 + Ember Ore x2
- Starter Blade → Forged Blade: Timber x3 + Iron Shard x5 + Ember Ore x3
THE WORLD
8 zones connected by portals. Walk into a portal at the map edge to travel.
Safe Zones (no combat)
- Ironvale — Hub town. Shops, bank, NPCs.
- Tidecrest — Beach. Best fishing spot.
Normal Zones (Lv 1-10)
- Verdant Hollow — Forest. Slimes & wolves.
- Sunridge — Plains. Wolves & zombies.
- Silverrun — River. Fishing + easy monsters.
- Bramblewood — Deep forest. Best tree farming.
Danger Zones (Lv 20+)
- Frostcrag — Snow. Strong wolves, ghosts, demon.
- Shadowmere — Dark. Skeletons, demons, Spider Boss (Lv 30).
ZONES DETAIL
Each zone has unique resources, monsters, and features.
Ironvale (Safe)
Hub town. 120 trees, 5 buildings (Bank, Shop, Tavern, Blacksmith, Town Hall). NPCs: Guard Marcus, Trader Milo, Wandering Bard, Lumberjack Erwin. Pond for fishing. No monsters.
Verdant Hollow (Normal, Lv 1-3)
Dense forest. 110 pine trees, 14 rocks, 2 coal. Monsters: Slime, Wolf, Zombie. Pond + 2 fishing spots.
Sunridge (Normal, Lv 2-5)
Open plains. 70 trees, 15 rocks, 3 coal. Monsters: Slime, Wolf, Zombie, Skeleton. Windmill + haybales.
Silverrun (Normal, Lv 1-3)
River valley. 80 trees, 12 rocks, 2 coal. Monsters: Slime, Wolf, Zombie. River + bridge + 2 fishing spots.
Bramblewood (Normal, Lv 2-6)
Deep dark forest. 120 pine trees, 16 rocks, 4 coal. Monsters: Slime, Wolf, Zombie, Skeleton. Ancient ruins + mushrooms.
Tidecrest (Safe)
Tropical beach. 3 fishing spots, palm trees, umbrellas. No monsters. Best fishing zone.
Frostcrag (Danger, Lv 10-20)
Frozen peaks. 70 snow trees, 20 rocks, 6 coal. Monsters: Wolf (Lv 10-14), Ghost (Lv 15-18), Skeleton (Lv 16-17), Demon (Lv 20). Frozen lake + ice spikes.
Shadowmere (Danger, Lv 12-30)
Cursed wasteland. 22 dead trees, 22 rocks, 8 coal. Monsters: Skeleton (Lv 12-16), Ghost (Lv 16-20), Zombie (Lv 15-20), Demon (Lv 22-25), BOSS Spider (Lv 30). Lava pool + tombstones.
